An amazing experience in the heart of the wild and secret Camargue
Hotel Mas de Peint is 1 km south of Le Sambuc village, on the route D36 in the "Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue", southwest of Arles, right in the heart of Camargue.
Camargue is a region located south of Arles in South France. It covers an area of over 360 sq miles, and it is Western Europe's largest river delta.
The Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue has some of the wildest and most protected species in all Europe. Camargue is also known for its horse breed, the famous white Camarguais, and the gardians (as the local French cow boys are called), who rear the region's fighting bulls for export to Spain.
When visiting Camargue. do not forget to stop by the roadside museum for more information about flora, fauna, and the history of the area.
Excursions
Visit the village of Le Sambuc, the Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer village, and the medieval fortress-town of Aigues-Mortes. Also, you could scedule day trips to the cities of Arles, Nimes, Montpellier and Marseille.
